A medical researcher is a scientist who studies subjects related to health care problems, medical procedures, and diseases. People in this career use data and research to find possible cures, treatments, or new medical procedures that doctors can use in a clinical setting. Job duties may include establishing needs, gaining funding, and recruiting other scientists or doctors to participate in the study. A medical researcher may find a job with a private company, medical facility, or academic institution.
